Daughter of William King Driggs, the youngest daughter and member of the famous King Family. The three oldest girls, Maxine, Luise and Alyce made their debut on Oakland radio station KLX in 1931 as the Drigg Sisters. The family moved to Utah in 1932 where their name was changed to the King Sisters, Yvonne and Donna began singing as well. In 1944, when one of the sisters could not perform, Marilyn substituted, becoming a permanent member (and the tallest of the girls) when Capitol Records signed them in 1951, and the four remaining performing sisters were Luise, Alyce, Donna and Marilyn. Marilyn was also a composer, lyricist and arranger, appearing with the Alvino Rey Orchestra as a soloist with bandleaders including Les Brown, Harry James and Ray Anthony, and she was a regular on family shows such as M*A*S*H and Laugh-In, as well as the Ed Sullivan Show. Marilyn also contributed to the voice over for the 1965 version of "The Sound of Music" which won an Oscar for best music. Marilyn's final television appearance was in the 2009 PBS musical retrospective "Christmas With The King Family."

The King Sisters' career spanned over sixty wonderful years, and they released over 150 records for Blue Bird, RCA Victor, Capitol and Warner Brothers. Known for their intense harmonies, the entire family appeared in the 1960's ABC Variety show, "The King Family Show."

Marilyn married twice; to television magnate Howard Lloyd and trombonist Stan Kenyon. Marilyn was the last remaining sister when she died of cancer. She left children Susannah, Adam and Jennifer and seven grandchildren.
