The King Sisters started their career on Salt Lake City's KSL radio, during the 1930s, and were eventually discovered by band leader Horace Heidt. Horace who took them to San Francisco, Chicago and New York. In 1937, Luise King married band leader Alvino Rey and the sisters toured with his band throughout the 1940s.
Luise and Alvino served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Hawaii Temple Visitor's Center.
