Philadelphia. March 2- Mrs. Sarah Mumford Lemmons, 91, widow of Jacob Lemmons, died suddenly of a heart attack at 7:15 this morning while dressing, at the home of her son-in-law, William Campbell, about two miles from this village.

Until the past few days, Mrs. Lemmons had been in exceptionally good health for a woman of her years. She had had a slight cold for the past few days. While dressing this morning she was stricken with a heart attack, and died within a few minutes.

Mrs. Lemmons was born in Centerville, Wisconsin September 17, 1845 the daughter of Charles and Clarissa Lackmey Mumford. On October 16, 1864, she married Jacob Lemmons, a western farmer. She had resided in the west all her life until she came here in 1912, after the death of her husband in 1911, to make her home with her son-in-law, William Campbell near Halls' Corners. Her daughter, wife of Mr. Campbell, died a few years ago.

Mrs. Lemmons' father and some of her near relatives fought in the War of 1812. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Philadelphia. Her only near relatives in the east, since the death of her daughter, was Mrs. Stella Leonard of Syracuse, a niece.

Surviving Mrs. Lemmons are a son, Manley Lemmons of Dend, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. A.J. Johnson, of Suntex, Oregon; and Mrs. Gertrude Wammack, of Traer, Kansas; one sister, Miss. Marion Mumford, of San Diego, California; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the home of the son-in-law, William Campbell, near Halls' Corners, at 1:30. Reverend D.M. Cobb, pastor of the Philadelphia Methodist Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at Plessis.
