Doris Smalley, 81 years of Newark, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Adams County Manor.

She was born in Rarden, Ohio on October 14, 1931 the daughter of the late Cloice and Opal (Evans) Hoffer.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Smalley, who passed away on March 2, 2002 and one son, Garey Smalley, who passed away on November 8, 1999.

Doris attended Trinity Full Gospel of Sabina and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Peebles Lodge #396.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cindy Smalley of Newark, Ohio and Anthony Smalley of Peebles; two brothers, Russell of Otway and Donald Hoffer of Rarden; one sister, Wanda Blankenship; 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, & 4 step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Glenn Hilterbran officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
