DICKINSON — Alice Werner, 83, passed away, Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at her home in Dickinson, Texas. Alice was born in Flo, Texas in 1921, the daughter of Francis and Jesse Avara. She lived in Galveston, Houston and Texas City. She was happily married to William A. Werner for over 40 years. She was the doting mother of two boys, a wonderful cook and beloved wife.

Alice is survived by her son, William Jesse Werner; granddaughter, Kristen Werner Kelly and her husband Mike; sister, Linda Plitt and her husband Edward; sister, Ruth Reid; sister-in-law, Jean Avara; brother-in-law, Ernst Werner and his wife Jeanette; and other nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones too numerous to list.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m., at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, with Pastor Richard E. Brunk, Sr., officiating.
