Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Carter, the Rev. Vic Dowd and the Rev. Richard Nunn officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
A native of Guilford County, Mr. Wray was born to the late Henry Pleasant Wray and Sallie Highfill Wray. Mr. Wray was a charter member of Camp Herman Baptist Church. He was a member and past Master of Guilford Masonic Lodge 656. Mr. Wray was a Scottish Rite Mason, member of Guilford Chapter 141 Order of the Eastern Star and Oasis Temple of the Shrine, White Shrine. He was also past president of the North Carolina Dental Lab Association. He was a former owner and operator of Art Craft and Laboratory and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II.
Mr. Wray was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Williamson and by brothers, David K. Wray and Bratcher "Bratch" Wray.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ross Wray of the home; daughter, Jane W. Van Hoy; son, Eddie Wray; sisters, Nezzie McCauley, Sallie Lou Wray, Emily Von Cannon, Joy Jarvis, Peggy McClellan; brothers, Julius "Ham" Wray and Sydney "Sid" Wray; four grandchildren, Lisa Wray, Milly McNeil, Annie Van Hoy and Shelby Van Hoy.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service and at the home of Peggy McClellan, 5214 Skylark Dr. at other times.
