GREENSBORO - Julius B. "Ham" Wray, 86, of Tower Road, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, at Westover Church, with the Reverends Don Miller, Bob Voorhees, and Dana Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens.

Mr. Wray was born March 4, 1921, in Guilford County, a son to Henry and Sally Highfill Wray. He was retired from Greensboro Laboratory, and worked as a Safety Assistant for the Guilford County Handicap Public School Bus System after his retirement. Mr. Wray was a member of Westover Church, a former Deacon and choir member. He was an avid music lover and a former member of the Greensboro Chorus SPEBSQSA.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Mazel Wray, of the home; one daughter, Connie Wray Allen of Winston-Salem; one son, Henry E. Wray and wife, Carol of Ft. Valley, Ga.; two sisters, Peggy W. McClellan and Joy W. Jarvis, both of Greensboro; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, January 7, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Chapel.
