Eloise Card 85 of 13 Card Ave. passed away peacefully Friday, July 12, 2013 in Owego, NY with her loving family at her bedside.
She was born September 26, 1927 in Waverly, NY the daughter of Pearley Simons and Gertrude Wilcox, a graduate of Owego Free Academy in 1945. She was a house wife for 32 years and enjoyed volunteering at the church, and at head start. On May 24 1974 married her soul mate, Clarence F. "Jack" Card. He passed away August 24, 2006.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy and Dean Westmiller, Owego, Janet and Steve Burdette, Battle Creek, MI, Shirley Cart, Horseheads; two sons, James and Becky Cart, Elmira, Richard and Joanne Cart, Camden; three step daughters, Roxine and Vince Weisbrod, Baldwinsville, Sharlene and Peter Yodice, Rome, Danine and Edward Kent, Camden; three step sons, Greggory and Mary Card, Waterloo, Jeffrey and Jennifer Card, Pulaski, Garry Card, Florence, 24 grand children, 43 great-grand children, and one great, great grandchild, a sister, Lily Newton, Willseyville. She also leaves her beloved pet "Betsy," and a dear friend Louise Smith.
She was predeceased by a husband, Frank Cart, Odessa; two sisters Leona Henson, Waverly and Mary Jane Mikula, Ithaca and also predeceased by a brother, Leonard Simons, Straits Corners.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13 in Camden. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
