Richard E. Cart, 60, of Elpis Rd., Camden, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 29, 1956, in Waverly, the son of Frank and Eloise Simons Cart. Richard was a graduate of Camden Central School, Class of 1974. On June 26, 1976, Richard was united in marriage to JoAnne K. Cacciatori in St. John's Church, Camden. Richard was the owner of Cart Logging. He was previously employed by Camden Wire for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1999. He was a former member of the Sandy Creek Beagle Club. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Surviving besides his loving wife of forty years, JoAnne; are two daughters, Rachel (Corey) Corbin, and Jaime (Jason) Marris, all of Camden; nine grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin Reising and their father, J. J. Reising, Channing Corbin, Jonathan Cart, Dustin Marris, Todd Marris, Peyton Marris, Syril Marris, and Wyatt Marris; two sisters, Judy Westmiller, of Owego, and Janet (Steve) Burdette, of Battle Creek, MI; a brother, James (Becky) Cart, of Elmira; step-brothers and step-sisters, Roxine (Vince) Weisbrod, of Baldwinsville, Greg (Mary) Card, of Waterloo, Shar (Pete) Yodice, of Rome, Danine (Ed) Kent, of Camden, Jeff (Jenn) Card, of Pulaski, Garry Card, of Camden; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, including special family friends, Kevin Berry, and Kelly Berry-Cook. Richard was predeceased by his father, Frank Cart; his mother and step-father, Eloise and Jack Card; his sister, Shirley Cart; a grandson, Steven Marris; a brother-in-law, Dean Westmiller; and his best friend, Charlie Berry.
