Mrs. Marie Bures Becwar was born in Volenic, Bohemia on April 25, 1860.
In 1881 she, with her father and step-mother, two sisters and three brothers, came to America and located on a farm south of Exeter.
In 1883 she was united in marriage to Anton Becwar. To this union eleven children were born, six of whom have preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and five daughters as follows: Mrs. Christina Vavra of Geneva, Mrs. Katherine Kuska of Fairmont, Mrs. Antonia Stofer of Alexandria, Mrs. Josephine Menke of Friend. There are also eight brothers, two sisters, eleven grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Becwar passed away at her home southwest of Exeter Monday morning Oct. 9, 1933 after a lingering illness, at the age of 73 years 6 months and 4 days. She was a patient sufferer. She was a faithful wife and loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednestday afther noon at 1:30 o'clock, with interment in the Milligan cemetery. Rev. K.O.Zavadil of Wilber, Nebraska officiating at her home.
