MRS. ANNA ZELENY EXETER PIONEER CALLED BY DEATH

Mrs. Anna Zeleny, daughter of Frank Bures and Josephine (Marc) Bures, was born June 7, 1882, on a farm south of Exeter. She passed away May 5, 1967, at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 28 days, after a short illness.

She grew to womanhood in the farm home and received her education in School District 2.

February 18, 1901, she was inited in marriage to Joseph Zeleny of Exeter. They spent their married life on a farm south of Exeter. To this union three children were born, a son Mike, and two daughters, Mayme and Lillian. After the death of her husband, November 17, 1932, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mayme and Charles Kovanda, until her death.

Her greatest pleasure was when her children, grandchildren and great=grandchildren gathered at her home. She will be greatly missed by all of them

She was a member of Z.C.B.J. Lodge No. 138.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, were her parents, four brothers, James, Charles, William, and Albert' three half-sisters, Tena Skampa, Katie Kebrle, and Mary Becwar; three half-brothers, Frank, John, and Mike Bures.

She is survived by her son, Mike; daughters, Mayme and Lillian; a daughter-in-law, Frances; sons-in-law Charles Kovanda and Carl Arbuck; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe an Tome Bures; and one sister, Mrs. Rose Sluka; and a host of other relatives and friends.
