Elizabeth is the daughter of David W. and Margaret Clements Moore. She grew up in Moore's Chapel with several siblings. She married William Franklin Powell on 13 Jan 1874 in Gibson Co., TN. They had their first son a little over a year later. Willie D. Powell only lived to be 5-1/2 yr. old. He is buried next to his grandparents David & Margaret Moore. Their other children to my current knowledge besides Willie D. are:

Lillian B. Powell Brannon 1877 – 1940
Carthel Manning Powell 1880 – 1947
Atlas Cleveland Powell 1885 –
Violet Powell 1898 -

Elizabeth and family moved to Fannin Co., TX prior to 1900. They did not stay in TX long and then moved to OK. They would live the remainder of their lives there in Tillman Co. William preceded Elizabeth. They are laid to rest next to each other and most of their children are buried in Stephens Co., OK.

A great grand aunt - not forgotten....
