Glena Cleo King was born on Nov. 10, 1938 in Parksville, Boyle Co., Kentucky, probably at the home of her parents located on Tennessee Ridge. She was the daughter of Clarence Edward King (1912-1978) and Effie Miller (1914-2007).

Glena's paternal grandparents were Thomas Letcher King (1881-1973) and Minna Susan "Minnie" Gooch (1884-1971), longtime residents (55 years) of Tennessee Ridge.

Her maternal grandparents were Ambers Parr Miller (1893-1953) and Ada Alice Honaker (1894-1980), both natives of Russell Co., Virginia.

Glena was born pre-maturely and lived only eight hours. She is buried in the Chestnut Grove Church Cemetery located on Chestnut Grove Road near Parksville, Boyle co., Kentucky. Her brother, Arnold Edward King (1934-1934), who also died as an infant, is also buried in this cemetery.
