Robert Eugene "Bob" Martin Sr., 71, Sedalia, died Jan. 28, 2004. Mr. Martin was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Sedalia. He worked for several construction companies.
He was the son of Everett William Martin and Edna Christina Sophia Ficken Martin.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, one brother Larry Martin and one sister Mary Elizabeth Kropp.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane of the home; three daughters, Deborah Martin and Debra Keeton, both of Sedalia, and Sheri Jones of Salina, Kan.; four sons, Buddy Rogers, Arthur Slaughter and Richard D. Martin, all of Sedalia, and Robert Eugene Martin Jr. of Salina; four sisters, Ruth Kerr of Independence, Sharon Kay Dial of Raytown, Donna Bruns of Barnett and Janice Martin of Sedalia; three brothers, Charles Martin of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Herbert Wayne Martin and Fred Martin, both of Sedalia; seven grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

The funeral was held at Ewing-Shutte-Semler Funeral Home, Sedalia. Burial was in Garden of Prayer at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.
