Obituary - Martin Chvatal
Funeral services for Martin Chvatal, 77, Colon will be Friday, November 29 at 1 pm in St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Colon. Rev. John Zastrow will celebrate the requiem mass. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:30 pm by the Knights of Columbus and a public rosary at 8 pm both at the Svoboda's Funeral Home.

Mr. Chvatal died Tuesday, November 26. Survivors are two sons, Bernard and Donald both of Malmo; two daughters, Mrs. William (Adeline) Stuchlik and Mrs. Leo (Clayre) Sabatka both of Wahoo; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Also four brothers, Thomas of Colon, Charles and Joseph of Morse Bluff and Anton of North Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Bartosh of Prague and Mrs. Joe (Antonia) Jaros of Abie. His wife preceded him in death in 1951.

Casket bearers are grandsons, Dennis, Larry and Royce Stuchlik and Jim, Burneil and Jerome Chvatal. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery with Svoboda Funeral Home in charge.
