Eleanor Marie (Grover) Daniel, the daughter of Lewis and Georgia (Miles) Grover, was born August 17, 1922 in Clay County, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Gillett Grove and her family later moved into the town of Gillett Grove, where she received her education, graduating from Gillett Grove High School in 1940.

Eleanor married Verl Daniel on September 4, 1942 in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they moved to the Langdon area. Throughout her life, she spent her time taking care of her children and her family. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Langdon. She also did quilting, crocheting, cross stitching, knitting and was an accomplished seamstress.

She passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the age of 90. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verl in 1986; a daughter, Mary Daniel in 1999; three sisters: Charlotte Alger, Hazel Hockett, and Helen Stephas and five brothers: Lynn "Bud", Howard, Russell "Gus", Ervin and Merle Grover.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Arlie Daniel of Ada, OK, Everett Daniel and his wife, Candi of Graham, TX, Joe Daniel and his wife, Pam of Cherokee, IA, Georgia Dohrman and her husband, Dennis of Sioux City, IA, Fred Lindemann and his wife, Susan of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Daniel, 90, of Spencer, were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Tim Squire officiated the service.

Burial took place at Fairview Cemetery in Langdon.

Mrs. Daniel passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Eleanor Marie (Grover) Daniel, the daughter of Lewis and Georgia (Miles) Grover, was born Aug. 17, 1922 in Clay County, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Gillett Grove and her family later moved into the town of Gillett Grove, where she received her education, graduating from Gillett Grove High School in 1940.

Eleanor married Verl Daniel on Sept. 4, 1942 in Spencer. Following their marriage, they moved to the Langdon area. Throughout her life, she spent her time taking care of her children and her family. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Langdon. She also did quilting, crocheting, cross stitching, knitting and was an accomplished seamstress.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verl in 1986; a daughter, Mary Daniel in 1999; three sisters: Charlotte Alger, Hazel Hockett and Helen Stephas; and five brothers: Lynn "Bud", Howard, Russell "Gus", Ervin and Merle Grover.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Arlie Daniel of Ada, Okla.; Everett Daniel and his wife, Candi, of Graham, Texas; Joe Daniel and his wife, Pam, of Cherokee, Iowa; Georgia Dohrman and her husband, Dennis, of Sioux City, Iowa; and Fred Lindemann and his wife, Susan, of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
