The happy couple left at midnight on Burlington Train No. 10 for Omaha for a short honeymoon after which they will be at home in Crete to their friends.

Funeral services were held on August 15, 1971 for Mr. August F. Kahle who died August 12. Rev. Robert H. Conner officiated at the services, and burial was in the Crete Riverside Cemetery.
August Kahle, the son of Henry and Sophia (Krug) Kahle, was born May 14, 1893 in the West Blue community. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, and he attended the country school.
During World War I, Mr. Kahle served in the Army Medical Corps.
On November 17, 1920 he was married to Edythe Trepka. The first two years following the marriage the Kahles lived in Crete where Mr. Kahle was employed. Following this he farmed east of Crete until 1929 when the Kahles moved to their own farm.
Preceded in death by his wife, Edythe (November 3, 1967); brothers, Herman and Art, Crete; sisters, Mrs. Stena Paugh, Pueblo, Colorado, and Mrs. Mary Billiard, Crete; he is survived by daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Dorothy) Eberspacher, Mrs. Jerry (Marjorie) Bishop, and Mrs. Glen (Ruth) June, Crete; sons, Harry A., Milford, and Donald L., Crete; sisters, Anna Schubert, Deshler and Mrs. Ernest (Louise) Schubert, Holdrege; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren in addition to nieces and nephews.
