Louise Wilhelmina Kahle Schubert was born near Crete on August 9, 1899 to Henry and Sophia Krug Kahle and died in Holdrege on February 16, 1981 at the age of 81 years.

She was baptized September 10, 1899 and confirmed on March 28, 1915 in the Evangelical Lutheran Bethlehem Church in Crete by Pastor A.F. Schrein.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Schubert on December 10, 1919 in Crete by Rev. Schrein, and they made their home on a farm south of Wilcox. In 1958 Ernest and Louise retired to Holdrege where she resided until her death.

Survivors include daughters, Arline Young of Holdrege, Gladys DeJonge of Macon, and son, Lloyd of Wilcox; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, Ruth June, Marge Bishop, and Mrs. Lowell Eberspacher, and nephew, Don Kahle of Crete.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1972; one granddaughter in 1960; her parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Services were held Friday, February 20 at Holdrege with burial at Wilcox.
