B. J. Husting and family were notified on Monday that the brother, B. A. Husting, Fond du Lac attorney, was taken to an Oshkosh hospital that morning suffering from concussion of the brain and other injuries, the result of an automobile accident.

According to word received here, Mr. Husting, known to his acquaintances as "Boney," was driving on a town road, and as he drove onto highway 45A, his car collided with a cattle truck, driven by Elmer Keller of near Appleton, who was on his way to Milwaukee with a load of cattle.

The Husting car was thrown quite a distance and badly wrecked. Mr. Husting was removed from the demolished car and rushed to Mercy hospital in Oshkosh. The cattle truck tipped over, injuring one of the seven cows in the truck.

County highway officers were called to investigate the accident, and asserted that Mr. Husting's car had reached the center of the pavement when the collision occurred.

According to members of the Husting family, there was no change in the patient's condition up to Tuesday evening. Attending physicians had not determined if Mr. Husting had sustained internal injuries.

Injuries received on Monday in an automobile accident claimed the life of Bonduel A. Husting, 61 year old Fond du Lac attorney, a brother of Mrs. Isabella Lamoreux and U. S. Dist. Atty. B. J. Husting in this city.

A hemorrhage, caused by a brain injury sustained when his auto and a cattle truck collided near Fond du Lac last week, was the cause of death. Mr. Husting had also sustained a fractured vertebra. For a time it appeared that he would recover, and attendants at Mercy hospital in Oshkosh, where he was taken after the accident, felt his condition was improving, but the hemorrhage resulted in his death.

B. A. Husting was born in Fond du Lac on June 23, 1874, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Husting, pioneer residents of this city. He spent his youth in this city, attending the local schools before studying telegraphy. After working for a railroad company for several years, he studied law at the University of Wisconsin.

Upon receiving his degree, he established an office in Fond du Lac, where he has been since that time. He served three terms as district attorney in Fond du Lac county, was chairman of the county Democratic committee for several years and held other offices.

On June 23, 1907, he was married to Miss Kate Anderson of Eldorado, who survives with the children, Mrs. Carl W. Dyckhoff, Fond du Lac; Miss Helen Husting, of Ripon; Miss Margaret Husting, a student at Ripon college; and John Pierre. A sister, Mrs. Isabella Lamoreux of this city; four brothers, B. J. Husting, of this city; Gustav, St. Paul; Leo, Madison; Max, Sioux Falls, So. Dak.; and two grandchildren also remain. Two brothers, Paul and Otto preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Sunday with Fountain lodge No. 26, F. & A. M., in charge, at the fond du Lac Masonic temple. The body was brought here for burial in Graceland cemetery.
