Senator John E. Fox, of Dauphin county, was badly hurt while going to Hummelstown yesterday on horseback.

Going over the hill near Hummelstown his horse stumbled, throwing the senator over its head, and in the fall he broke a ligament in his left leg and hurt his head.

He was at the residence of Collector Hershey, in this city, last night.
