Norma Barr
June 14, 1922-April 19, 2006 Norma BARR, 83, Laurels of Worthington, Ohio, formerly of Akron, died at
11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Laurels of Worthington, Ohio. Born in Akron to Orvan and Vera I. Martin Floor, she married Horace E.
"Jim" Barr on Feb. 12, 1943, in Canton, S.D. He passed away on Feb. 25, 1997.
Mrs. Barr was a homemaker and lived in Ohio for four years.
Survivors include her son, James R. Barr, Worthington, Ohio; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Tamara and Thomas; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Phyllis Munson, Warsaw, Martha Howard and Cleo Hall, both of Lakeview. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Maralene and Tara Jean; three brothers, Marion, Orvan Jr. and James Floor; four sisters, Pauleen Floor, Francis Arnold, Jeanette Small and Gladys Gaff.
Her funeral service is 6 p.m. Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with the Rev. Don Dexheimer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Akron Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Institute
