Phyllis F. Munson, 91, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at 6:10 AM in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, Indiana.
Mrs. Munson was born October 12, 1918 in Disko, Indiana to Orvan and Vera (Martin) Floor. On January 29, 1938 she became the wife of Raymond Munson. They lived most of their life in the Kosciusko County area. Four years ago Mrs. Munson went to live in Plymouth at Pilgrim Manor.
A homemaker, she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Warsaw, Warsaw, Indiana. She was known for making beautiful calendars of sequins and beads. She loved to share her cooking of meals and baked goods with others.
With treasured memories, Mrs. Munson leaves behind her daughter, Mary Munson of Plymouth; 3 grandchildren: Rev. Keith and Tamara Munson of Georgia, Tammi and Steve Belrose, Lufkin, Texas and Connie Goodwin, also of Lufkin; 3 great grandchildren: Quincey, Cameron and Evarose; and her sister, Martha Howard of Lakeville, Indiana.
Those preceding her death are her husband, Raymond Munson (February 8, 1982); 2 sons: Richard Munson (1983) and Michael Munson (1982); 6 sisters: Francis Arnold, Pauline Floor, Jeanette Smarz, Norma Barr, Cleo Hall and Gladys Gaff; and 3 brothers: Orvan Floor, Jr., James Floor and Marion Floor.
There will be a time of sharing memories with the family Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 10 AM until 12 noon at the United Pentecostal Church of Warsaw. A celebration of the life of Phyllis F. Munson will begin at 12 noon in the church with Pastor Dan Cox of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
Gifts in memory of Mrs. Munson may be designated by the gift of flowers as well as contributions to the Untied Pentecostal Church of Warsaw, 825 N. Harrison Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 or the American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison Road, South Bend, Indiana 46545.
