Kate married Benjamin Franklin Wilburn on December 20, 1914 in the Rosedale Community of Milton Township, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Together they had five (5) children; Thelma F., Gunnery Andrew, Benjamin Leonard, Melba Juanita, & June Jacquelyn Wilburn. Benjamin Franklin died at the age of 30 leaving Kate with four (4) young children to raise. Thelma F. only lived fifteen (15) months.
Kate married Eugene H. Hinkins on December 14, 1927. Family lore has it that Eugene without reluctance accepted the responsibility of raising Kate's children.
Kate & Eugene also had one (1) son, Henry "Hank" Hinkins.
