G. O. PAINTER IS VICTIM OF MENINGITIS FOLLOWING GRIPPE
Well Known Resident of Cloe Died Last Night. Burial on Friday.
G. O. Painter, of Cloe, died Tuesday evening, May 8, after a brief illness of meningitas, (sic) following grippe, aged 43 years.
He was born in Indiana county, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Painter, now of Cloe. Mr. Painter had been a member of the M. E. Church at Covode, for the past three years. Until December, Mr. aPinter (sic) made his home with his uncle, Samuel States, of Lavill, Iowa. Since that time he had lived with his sister, Mrs. Bert Bargerstock, of Cloe, who survives him as do the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. W. Holben, Trade City; Mrs. Joseph Zoufall, (sic) Punxsutawney; Mrs. Nora McAllister, Sharon; Mrs. Mead Long, of Farrel; William Painter, of Rochester Mills; John Painter, of near Covode.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mrs. Bert Bargerstock, at Cloe. Interment in Oaklawn cemetery.
