G. W. PAINTER
G. W. Painter, 86 years, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of the district, died at his home in Cloe. Deceased was born in North Mahoning township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Painter, pioneer residents of Indiana county. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in the Penn'a Volunteers during the latter part of the great conflict. He was a man of high principles, neighborly, kindly and honest to a fault. He leaves his widow and four sons and daughters. Funeral services were held at the Cloe Methodist church an (sic) Saturday afternoon and interment made in the cemetery at Cloe.
