Minnie Smith

Mrs. Minnie Smith 88, widow of Henry F. Smith died at York General Hospital after several weeks in hospitalization.

She was born Dec. 7, 1876, in Hamilton County near Hordville, the daughter of Henrig and Anna Meier Blasé. She and Mr. Smith were married Feb. 13, 1896 at Arborville. Mr. Smith died Feb. 25, 1942.

Surviving are 6 children, Martin, Alvin and Mrs. William (Viola) Ziegelbein, all of Polk; Mrs. Arthur (Sophie) Dose, and Mrs. Lester (Norma) Rhode, both of Hampton, and Marie at home; 2 brothers, William Blase, Polk; Louis Blase, Hordville; one sister, Mrs. Carl Wilshusen, York, 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. Leland Kleopfer officiating. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Polk.
