Viola Ziegelbein

Viola Ziegelbein, 75, formerly of Polk died Tuesday, January 17, at the Aurora hospital.
Services were Friday, January 20, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Polk with Rev. B.F. Meschke officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Ziegelbein was born June 26, 1902, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Blasé Smith. In infancy she was baptized in Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran Lutheran School, and was confirmed in April of 1916.
On November 25, 1928 she married William Ziegelbein. They farmed southwest of Polk until 1957, when they moved to Polk. In 1962 her husband passed away. Due to f ailing heath, she moved into Hamilton Manor at Aurora, in 1975.
She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member of that parish.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth of Polk, Charles of Lincoln, and Allen of McCook; one daughter, (Ruth) Mrs. Don Wright of Lincoln; one brother, Alvin Smith of Polk; three sisters, Marie Smith of Polk; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Sophie) Dose and Mrs. Lester (Norma) Rohde, both of Hampton and 15 grandchildren. One nephew and seven nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were David Wright, Lavern Ziegelbein, Donald Dose, William Collett, Robert Buller, and Dennis Carlson.
