An accidental shooting resulted in the death of a Creighton man, Tuesday morning, April 25, Thomas Ray Fuchtman, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fuchtman, owners of Ray's Tavern, Creighton, was the victim of the accident.
Fuchtman died of injuries from the gunshot wound inflected, while he was apparently working on his shotgun inside the bar. There were no witnesses to the accident.

Thomas Ray Fuchtman was born Nov. 12, 1954 at Creighton to Ray and Betty Fuchtman and died at Creighton on April 25, 1978, at the age of 23.
He attended St. Ludger School and graduated from Creighton High School in 1974. Mr. Fuchtman was a member of the Creighton Area Jaycees and was helping in his father's business.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fuchtman; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bob Mathine of Omaha; two brothers, Jay of Niobrara and Scott; one niece of Omaha and grandmother, Mrs. Veronica Spatz of Plainview.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers and a grandmother.
Funeral services were held April 27, 1978 at St. Ludger Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Melvern Wiese and Rev. Donald Stortz officiated. Burial was made at St. Ludger Cemetery.
