Memorial services were Tuesday at St. Stephen the Martyr Church for Susan Mathine, 55, Omaha, formerly of Plainview.
She died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Hospice House in Omaha following a battle with cancer.
Susan, daughter of Ray and Betty Fuchtman, was born Nov. 12, 1952, at Plainview.
She attended St Ludger Academy and graduated from Creighton Public High School in 1971.
She graduated from Lincoln School of Commerce and was employed with Anderson Brothers of Omaha the past 30 years.
Susan was married to Bob Mathine Sept. 21, 1974. Two children were born to this union, Erin and Branden.
Sue enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a thoughtful, loving and caring person. Her family was always her main concern.
She will be greatly missed by her family and survivors, husband Bob Mathine; daughter and spouse Erin and Rob Swaney; grandchildren Dylan and Mason Swaney; son Branden Mathine; mother Betty Fuchtman; brothers and spouses Jay and Jill Fuchtman, Scott and Dione Fuchtman; mother-in-law Betty Mathine; sister-in-law and spouse Chery and Phil Gray; brothers-in-laws Jim and Rita Mathine and Ed Mathine; many nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by brother Tom Fuchtman, father Ray Fuchtman, father-in-law Virgil Mathine and her grandparents.
