Mrs. Etta M. Huffman, aged 59 years, three months and 12 days, of Waynesburg, died at noon yesterday, November 10, 1938, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, where she had undergone an operation some days before. Mrs. Huffman had been in ill health for some time.
A daughter of the late J. I. Spragg and Sarah Lough Spragg, she was born July 28, 1879, at Oak Forest and spent most of her life in Greene County. She married Charles Huffman, whose death occurred in 1926, and for several years the family resided in Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Huffman had resided in Waynesburg the past four years. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Besides one son, Harold Huffman, of Zanesville, Ohio, she leaves four sisters and one brother, namely: Mrs. T. H. Shannon, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Waynesburg; Mrs. Herman Johnson, of Flushing, O.; Mrs. Herman Pipes and Mrs. George Wells, of Cameron, W. Va., and Edward Spragg, of Glendale, W. Va.
HUFFMAN - Funeral services for Mrs. Etta M. Huffman, of Waynesburg, will be held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13, at 2 o'clock at the Hoge & Garrison Funeral Home, with Rev. W. Rufus Hofelt in charge. Friends will be received at the Hoge & Garrison Funeral Home. 11-1
