Emily Louise Perry, the daughter of Silas Perry and Della Ebright, was born May 5, 1909, in Republic county. She departed this life after a number of years of failing health, at her home on March 17, 1959, at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Emily lived most of her life in Republic county. She was united in marriage to Harold E. Ocobock August 27, 1924. To this union were born five children. The family have lived north of Republic for the past twenty years. She was a member of the Republic EUB church.
She was preceded in death by her mother and half brother, Ralph Strickland, two infant daughters, Marcielle and Myrna.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; two sons, Junior of Wichita, Kan., and Donald of the home; one daughter, Vivian Milner of Scandia; five grandchildren; her father, Silas Perry of Hardy, Neb., two sisters Ethel Briggs and Mildred Hays of Hardy, Neb.; and two brothers, Roy Strickland of Wichita, Kan., and Elmer Perry of Hardy, Neb.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the EUB church at Republic conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Love Joy Bennett and interment was in the Lake cemetery.
