LAWRENCEBURG, TENN - Services for Mrs Lillie Elizabeth Howard Burks, 76, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn, formerly of Calhoun County, will be Saturday at 10 am at North Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.
Mrs Burks died Thursday in Regional Medical Center in Anniston after a short illness.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Horace Hightower of Cullman and Mrs Nelda Porter of Goodlettsville, Tenn; three sons, Edward L Burks of Heflin, James Howard Burks of Hayden and Manuel M Burks of Huntsville; a sister, Mrs Ethel Smith; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs Burks was a native of Lawrenceburg, Tenn, and had resided in Calhoun County for several years before returning to Lawrenceburg. She had been visiting in Heflin for the past two months. Mrs Burks was a member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg.
