MISS ANNA PUPKA DEAD
Miss Anna Margaret Pupka, 80, died Sunday afternoon at 1:50 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Parrett, 201 Constitution. She had been sick two months.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue Funeral chapel. Rev. G. M. Miessler, pastor of the Messiah Lutheran church, and Rev. O. M. Showalter, former pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
Miss Pupka was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pupka. She was born June 29, 1857, in Garnavillo, Iowa. Miss Pupka never married. She came to Emporia about 20 years ago. She had been blind for many years and lived with Mr. and Mrs. Parrett, who were friends. Miss Pupka has no surviving relatives.
