A message was received in Sheridan Friday night of the death of Miss Alice Simpson at Glendale, California.

While Miss Simpson had been in failing health for about 12 years from tuberculosis, the news of her death came as a shock to the old home friends. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simpson and was born in Sheridan March 8, 1888. She grew to lovely young womanhood here and graduated from the Sheridan high school with the class of 1905. Her classmates were Jennie Flick Duncan, Blanche Hyndman Search, Nellie Taylor Wilson, Edith Thomas Noble, Ina Ogden Masterson, and William Haines, and this is the first death among the class members. Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Wilson are the only members of the class that still call Sheridan their home. After completing her high school work she was employed in the local telephone office and later took a business course and was employed as accountant for a large mining company in Nevada. Later she went to California, where she held a similar position until her health failed and she was compelled to resign.
