Herman Dawson Andrews was the son of Floyd and Rose Baker Andrews. Brother to Jeannette Muse, Ethel Cooper, Richard DeShields, Kenneth Andrews, Mamie Andrews, and Edith Miller. Husband to Linda, father to Ernest, Al, Dwayne, and Darryl.
He was affectionately known as "Pete" to family and friends. In 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for the VA hospital and retired in 1995. Herman was known for his great sense of humor and was a rhymer of words. He was a loving and giving person. Herman was a Deacon and active member of the Eternal Rock Baptist Church. He really loved to sing.

A precious one from us is gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A spot is vacant in our hearts
That never can be filled.
Take him in Thine arms, Dear Lord
And ever let him be,
A message of love
Between our hearts and Thee.
Sadly missed by wife, Linda and sisters, Jeannette and Ethel, and the rest of your family and friends.

Loving you now and always,

Your Family who adored you!

My family and I would like to thank Dana Hunt-Ali for sponsoring Uncle Hermans' page. God Bless You!!

I would also like to thank Ms Norma McClain for the photos of my uncle Herman's headstones. May God Bless You! Juanita
