Cyril was the oldest son of Samuel Trowbridge & Harriet Addie Evans Trowbridge. He was married to Ettna Vest Williams on December 26, 1906. Cyril was a meat cutter by trade and owned the "Trowbridge Cash Market" in Redondo Beach for many years. He was one of the earliest merchants and a long time Civic Leader in Redondo Beach. Cy was the former President of the Chamber of Commerce and served as Director for many years. He was also a Charter member of Elks Lodge #1378 where he served as Chaplain and was also a Charter member of the Lyons Club. Cyril & Ettna had five children, Marion Vest Trowbridge Castine, Cyril Marion Trowbridge Jr, Natalie Trowbridge Allen, Marjorie Trowbridge Travis Mikeska & Helen Trowbridge Keeling Nichols.
