Frank was the son of Samuel Trowbridge and Harriet Addie Evans Trowbridge. He was married to Eleanor M. Rogers on September 24, 1907 in Washington D.C.
He was a meat cutter by trade in the early days. Frank served in the U.S Army during World War 1 and he retired from the Mission Bay Amusement Park, San Diego. He was a native of Kansas, and had lived 57 years in California. Frank and Eleanor had four children, Cecil Evans Trowbridge, Frank Edwards Trowbridge, Robert Del Mar Trowbridge and Addie May Trowbridge Rutledge.
