I believe he moved to Indiana because his son, Emmor, was in Indiana. His wife, Narcissa, died on July 12, 1859, age 42 years, in Terre Haute, IN. Her remains were moved to Redford Cemetery in MI on February 1, 1860.

They moved to Farmington, Ontario, New York. In 1850, they were living in Farmington with their daughter Elizabeth (1).

They had a son, William Barclay Smith, Jr in 1854, NY. He moved to Arkansas. He married Mary Evans about 1882. William died on March 15, 1922 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
