"John Bernard Amann, 59, husband of Anna P (Kady) Amann, died Friday, July 19, at his home, 427 Walnut St., Westernport. Funeral mass Monday 9:00 a.m. St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements by Boal's Funeral Service."

"Funeral Services for John B. Amann, 59, who died last Friday at his home, 427 Walnut Street, Westernport, Md., were held Monday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mr. Amann had been ill for the past year.

A son of the late Jacob and Mary (Droppleman) Amann, he was born at St. Clair, Doddridge County, W.Va., but had resided in Westernport for thirty-six years. He had been employed as a machinist's helper at the B. & O. shops in Keyser and Cumberland.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Annie (Kady) Amann, he leaves six children, Paul, Leo, Donald, Patricia and Bernard Amann at home, and Mrs. John Green, of Lonaconing; one brother, Albert Amann of Leading Creek, W.Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Donahue, Clarksburg, W.Va., Mrs. Mary Morrison, Middlefield, Ohio, and Mrs. Ernestine Hester, East Liverpool, Ohio."
