Thursday 18 August 1949:
"Requiem Mass for Mrs. Annie P. Amann, 71, widow of John Amann, who died Tuesday night at her home, 427 Walnut Street, Westernport, will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. George J. Pugh, assistant pastor will say the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
A native of Rodamer, Preston County, W.Va., Mrs. Amann was a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Gavin) Kady. She had resided in Westernport for 45 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Royal Neighbors. Her husband died in 1940.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Green, Lonaconing, and Miss Patricia Amann, at home; four sons, Paul, Bernard, Leo and Donald Amann, Westernport; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandson."

Pallbearers were Ross Baughman, Francis Mertz, John McBee, John Faherty, John Determan and David Mongold."
