Mrs. Marble Stephens, 73, lifelong resident of the county, died early this morning at the Jordan Township farm home, three miles southeast of Argyle. Mrs. Stephens the former Jane Brazel, daughter of John and Bridget Flannery Brazel, was born Aug. 3, 1882 in Adams Township. She attended Argyle schools . On Dec. 17, 1902, she was married at Monroe to Marble Stephens. Since their marriage they had lived on the Jordan Township farm on Route 1, Argyle. She was a member of the Argyle Methodist church.

Surviving are the husband; two sons, Victor, at home, and Lester, Adams Township; three sisters, Maurice Styger, Valentine, Mont.; Mrs. Clay Stephens, Argyle, and Mrs. Edward Gavigan, Jordan Township, and two grandchildren, David and Lester Stephens. She was preceded in death by a son, William, at the age of two; three brothers, Mac, Robert and William Brazel, and two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Patterosn and Mrs. Edwin Ellis.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday in the Argyle Methodist church with Rev. John McMurtrey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be there in Woodlawn cemetery. The casket will be taken to the church at noon Monday from the Erickson funeral home at Argyle.
