Robert Brazel, 77, Route 1, Argyle, died yesterday afternoon of a heart attack while working in a potato patch at his farm home. George Armstrong, deputy Green County coroner, who was called to the scene, said Mr. Brazel's body was found by his son, Donald, about 4 pm. A Monroe physician was summoned and ruled the death due to a heart attack.

He was born May 29, 1877 in Adams Township, son of John and Bridget Flannery Brazel. He was married March 7, 1917 to Hannora Murphy in St. John's Church, South Wayne. They lived on a farm near Argyle.

Mr. Brazel leaves a son, Donald, at home, and four sisters, Mrs. Clay Stephens, Mrs. Marble Stephens, Mrs. Edward Gavigan, all of Argyle, and Mrs. Maurice Styger, Ballantine, Mont. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1941, two brothers, Martin and William, and two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Ellis and Mrs. Ransom Patterson.

He was a member of St. Francis church, Adams Township, and a 50 year member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Services will be held Saturday at 9 am in the Erickson funeral home and at 9:30 in St. Joseph's church, Argyle. Rev. Joseph Brechtl will officiate with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery, Gratiot.
