Argyle- Mrs. Edward Gavigan, 67, Route 1, Argyle, a lifelong resident of the Jordan Center area, died at her home Saturday at 3 pm after a long illness. Mrs. Gavigan, the former Nellie Frances Brazel, was born May 14, 1891, in Adams Township, the daughter of John and Bridget Flannery Brazel.

She attended the Rat Hollow and Banner rural schools. On Thanksgiving Day in 1910, she was married in St. Joseph's Catholic church, Argyle, to Edward Gavigan. She was a member of the church.

Survivors are her husband, and two sisters, Mrs. Maurice Styger, Ballantine, Mont., and Mrs. Clay Stephens, Argyle. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Max, Robert and William Brazel, and three sisters, Mrs. Marble Stephens, Mrs. Mamie Patterson and Mrs. Edwin Ellis.

Services will be held at 9 am tomorrow in the Erickson funeral home, Argyle, and at 9:30 am in St. Joseph's church, Argyle. Rev. Donald H. Lins of St. Victor's church, Monroe, will officiate with burial in Calvary cemetery, Argyle. Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 in the Erickson funeral home.
