Leesville, Nov. 18 - Mrs. Lucy Addie Adams,wife of Jesse B. Adams, died at 8:05 a.m. today at her home, Rt. 2, Leesville after ill health of the last several years. She was born and reared in the Mt. Pleasant section of Newberry County, daughter of the late Thomas and Mrs. Epsie Felker Adams. She had made her home in the Cedar Grove section of Lexingtin County since 1920 where she was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church and a life member of the United Lutheran Church Women. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Boyd Adams; five sons, Oren Boyd, James Edgar and Jesse Heyward Adams, all of Leesville and Gurney Ray and Freddie Lee Adams of Columbia; four daughters, Mrs. Forest Cromer of Newberry, Miss Sadie Adams, Miss Fay Adams and Miss Elsie Adams, all of the home, Rt. 2, Leesville; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Berley and Mrs. Jesse Dawking [Dawkins] of Newberry; two step-grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday from Cedar Grove Lutheran Church by the Rev. Guy C. Cruse and the Rev. Henry S. Wingard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
