Services for Oren B. Adams, 92, of Oren Adams Road, Leesville, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church. Charles R. Shealy and Sons Funeral Home of Batesburg-Leesville is in charge. Memorials may be made to the church. Mr. Adams, husband of the late Inez Long Adams, died Thursday. Born in Newberry County, he was a son of the late James Boyd and Lucy Addie Adams. He was a farmer, carpenter, former member of the Farm Bureau Board of Directors and a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church where he served as a church councilman, on the cemetery committee and as Sunday school treasurer. Surviving are a son, Boyd Adams of Leesville; sisters, Sadie Dawkins of Columbia and Fay Iona Adams of Leesville and James and Gurney Adams, both of Columbia. © The State, Columbia, SC, 7 Sep 1991
