Mrs. Vera Mae Franklin Druin, 67, of the Saloma Community of Taylor County, daughter of the late Lewis and Celia Mae Morris Franklin, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, May 13, 1902. She died at the Taylor County Hospital at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1969, after a short illness. She repented of her sins and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1929. She united in marriage to Henry Druin on Jan. 15, 1924. To this union one son was born, Lonzie Druin, who survives. Besides her husband and son, she is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Vonnie Druin of Route 3, Campbellsville. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Sue Ellen Druin. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16th at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Raymond Berry with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
