Clyde C. Mullen, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Mullen was born Jan.8, 1888 at the old homestead in the Shullsburg Township.

Clyde Mullen and Eula Tippett were wed at the M. E. parsonage Jan. 11, 1911 at 1:30 PM by Rev. Callahan. (Published in the Pick & Gad on Jan. 12, 1911.)

Clyde and Eula Mullen moved to the New Diggings Township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin on February 2, 1912.

His entire life was spent in this community where he endeared himself to all he knew. For the previous 22 years he was employed by William Booty on his farm in the New Diggings Township. His every interest was for his home and family to whom he has been a true husband and affectionate father.

Beside his wife, he was survived by his children - Clyde Jr. aged 17 years, Howard aged 13 years, and Rena May aged 9 months; his six brothers - John, Wilbur, Joseph, Edgar, Harry, and Henry; his two sisters - Nellie and Katie Haffle. His parents and two sister have preceded him in death - Mary and Mrs. Tillie Wickler.

Clyde was 46 years, 1 month, and 12 days old at the time of his death. His services where held at the Methodist Church in Shullsburg, Rev. L. L. Collins, of New Diggings, and Rev. J. E. Kuundert, of Shullsburg, officiated.

Joseph Thompson, Charles Monroe, Harry Magee, Fred Poppa, Alexander Black, M. S. Henderson, Andrew J. Hebebstreit, and Harold Birkett were pallbearers.

Clyde Mullen was fatally injured when crushed by the tires of a vehicle he was cranking.
