Borghild was born in Gol,Norway and came to America in 1904 when she was 1 year old with her mother, Bergit Holte. Her father, Ole Holte arrived in America in 1903 and homestead 160 acres in Ray, N.Dakota. Borghild married Olai KNUTSON and they had four children, Annice, Orlyn, Vernon and Opal. She and Olai are both buried in Epping, ND.
