Born Jan. 7, 1907 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late George and Mae Abrahams Derr. She was the widow of Donald Gordon and Fred F. Shughart.
A lifelong farmer in West Pennsboro Township, Mrs. Shughart attended Carlisle Baptist Church.
Surviving are six daughters, Pearl Wilson of Gardners, Mary Hollenbaugh of North East, Md., Dorothy Beamer of Mt. Holly Springs and Pauline Clair, Irene Ludt and Anna Rummel, all of Carlisle; two sons, Dale L. Shughart of Plainfield and Richard D. Shughart of Carlisle; 17 grandchildren; three stepgrand- children; 26 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Doris Jean Shughart and Betty Rhoads; one son, George Shughart; two brothers; one sister; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
