DEATHS
Elmer J. Shatto
Elmer J. Shatto, 68, died Friday at his home in Carlisle after a long illness.
A native of Cumberland County he was a member of the First Church of God and the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School. He was a retired mechanic with the state Highways Department.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Bierbower Shatto; a son Hay N., at home: two sisters, Mrs. Anna Worman, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Frank Gleim, Carlisle: a half-brother, Harvey Shatto, Carlisle R. 2, and a half-sister, Mrs. Laura Arbegast, East Berlin.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home at 169 W. High St., Carlisle. The Rev. M.L. Schlessman will officiate. Burial in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday night.
